On Friday 4th December 2015 Rise Clubs from Elukwatini in the Gert Sibanda District in Mpumalanga held a joint 16 Days of Activism and World Aids Day
Three Rise Young Women clubs from Reddersburg (Girls do just, Pretty tough and Stars of tomorrow) held a combination of World Aids Day and 16 Days of Activism in conjunction with the department of Health, particularly Phekolong Clinic as well as the Soul Buddies Club from Itemeleng Primary School in Reddersburg on 4 December 2015.
On the 01 of Dec 2015 four Rise Clubs (Bvm, Cool Divas, Beauty by Nature and Star Girls) participated in a World Aids Day programme organised by the ANC.
Today, Friday, 4th December 2015 two members from two different clubs from Taung in the Nortwest visited the Vaaltar Community Radio station and spoke about genderbased violence and what their respective clubs are doing to combat this scourge and to educate and empower other young women in their community.

On the 1st of December 2015, Soul City as a member of the Eastern Cape AIDS Council (ECAC), participated in the official Provincial programme for World AIDS Day (WAD). The event was hosted by ECAC and Chris Hani District Municipality. The event took place at Ecwecweni village near Ngcobo.
Hashtag Gals Rise Young Women’s Club from an informal settlement near in Amalinda, East London stood up for 16 Days of Activism against Women and Child Abuse.
On the 1st of December 2015, 4 x Rise Young Women’s Clubs from the Dimbaza area near King Williams Town in the Eastern Cape came together to host an event to mark World AIDS Day (WAD). Clubs involved were Dream Bells, Bottom Liners, New Generation and Sisters of Strength Rise Young Women’s Clubs.

The 2015 theme for World AIDS Day is “Shared Responsibility: Community Action, Strengthening Results for an AIDS-Free Generation: Zero new HIV Infections. Zero Discrimination. Zero AIDS Related Deaths.”
Last night we attended the official switch-on of GoodLife Network at The Venue in Melrose Arch and the MC for the evening was the comedian Joey Rasdien who had all in stiches with his humorous comments.
