Soul City enters a new dawn

Young Women demand action on Sexual Violence
Rape is not taken seriously and women who report such crimes are often victimised afterwards said young women attending a dialogue on violence at the Soul City Institute for Health and Development Communication as part of Youth Month activities.
The Department of Health has initiated the Girls and Young Women Campaign, to empower girls and young women. The campaign is informed by a report that suggests a disproportionate burden of HIV among adolescent girls and young women, between ages 15-24 years, in South Africa.
