RYWC from Flagstaff in the Eastern Cape embarked on a “Back-to-School campaign on 15th February 2016
On the 15 February 2016, three clubs from Walter Cingo and Mampondo junior Secondary schools came together for another Back to School campaign at Walter Cingo Junior Secondary School in Flagstaff, Eastern Cape.
The campaign focused specifically on Abstinence, Drugs and Teenage Pregnancy. About 200 young people attended the event. Stakeholders included Department of Correctional Service, Department of Health (Health Promotion Unit) and Department of Education. Early Sexual debut came out very strong from all the stakeholders and club members recited poems to encourage young girls to abstain.
