#HeritageDayActivities - Rise Young Women’s Club Eastern Cape
On Saturday, 26 September 2015 in celebration of our culture and rich heritage, the Young Stars Rise Women's Club from eBongweni near East London have brought children and young woman to come and showcase our culture.
The theme for the event is Sexual Harassment. The clubs says that they chose these theme because in the community sexual harassment is rife. They blame women for wearing short skirts. They combined this with our heritage where young women wear short skirts and go topless, the message being that we have been wearing shorts skirts as part of our culture for many years but our culture respects us women.
