Act For Children: direct support for children’s projects
The Action for Children Programme supports children through grants to local, small scale project. The funding is in the form of a matching grant – organizations raise 50% of the project costs.
Typical projects supported include:
• Water tanks
• Jungle gyms
• School sick bays
• Classroom repairs
• Food gardens
• Sports equipment
The Action for Children also promotes local fundraising. It assists local organizations with ideas and tools for fundraising.
The Action for Children is a Soul City initiative. The Action for Children’s international partners are Wilde Ganzen and KidsRights in the Netherlands as well as Cese in Brazil and Smile in India.
